Star Wars: Empire at War - 9/10
Welcome to the Dark Side, hooo-k, I am Darth Va...Aw hell I'm not gonna right the review as Darth...not gonna work. Anyways the game is quite good. The combination of space and ground battles is something I have not seen since Imperium Galactica. The system works perfectly with the Star Wars theme and has been molded too perfection. Since I am not feeling very literal I shall do Bullets! *the crowd hushes* What the hell is wrong with you people its just bullet points. *the crowd murmurs even more* Aw F*** you...idiots...anyway moving on:
- Graphics are clear and from a distance look great
- The cinematic camera is very nice, its great to just be able to sit back and watch the movie when the battle is in your favour
- Not having to worry about any resources besides cash is refreshing and allows for you to get wrapped up in the battle and only the battle.
- Its nice to control the deathstar, its really great for the lazy at heart. Don't want to invade the ground just blow it up!
- Clear play dynamics between the Imperials and Rebels, and numbers do not always win, a refreshing change.
- Numerous amount of small things that add up to make the game play enjoyable, for example: speedin up time, cinematic camera, battle field overlook accessed by spinning the mouse wheel out, only have to worry about money, some nice abilities with heroes, numbers don't always win, etc.
- Its the Star Wars Universe in a well made game.
Until Next.
