Sorry for the long absence when I said I would be right back. School can do that.
Need for Speed: Carbon (X360)- 8/10
Pretty and Fast. They accomplished their two main objectives and they know it since they included the photo mode yet again. The races are nicely tracked out but since they made the city bigger it feels simpler. The city in the last Need for Speed was at least I felt more complex, smaller but more intricate. The city now is relatively simple with some alternative routes and hidden side streets. Also oddly I don't feel the same level of competency from the police. They were always on my ass always one P.I.T. maneuver from taking me out. I am 40% through the game and I have barely felt their presence. it makes things easier but at the same time relatively disappointing. The cars available are much within the same respect as the last game with the added bonus of the Autosculpt. Which allows the anal among us to truly fine tune the look of their car. Also there is the addition of the sidekick who helps you out in races, either to find paths, block other drivers, or give you a bit of a speed boost. They are nice to have around because usually no matter how much you screw up they will win the race, heck when you are winning they will steal it from you at the last moment. Annoying in a principle sense but nice in able-to-be-a-retard sense.
I recommend this game as a used buy because I'm sure the online is fun, the main game is fun, and the unlockables are sweet. So for the little annoyance it is nice and a solid racer.
Crackdown (X360)- 9/10
What!? Over already!? Noooooooooo!!
Oh right I was writing something. Well having just beat the game and finally 4-stared everything I have little to do in the Crackdown world...doesn't mean I'll stop playing it..there is still online...hehehe. The game is nicely stylized without being annoying and due to the graphics it can do some awesome distance drawing. I know you've probably heard it before, but really it is useful to know where your headed or where you want to go. It's also just damn pretty. Your abilities as an agent are incredible as you increase them. Also don't worry once you complete the main game you can still wander around the world with criminals or no criminals. The online I tried a little and with a good connection could be quite fun. Only real issue with this game is the length, everything else is wonderful and fun. When you can jump like a grasshopper from roof top to roof top...honestly you'll find yourself giggling like a child.
Anyways rent it, buy it, whichever. It's good.
Until Next.

The 360 Returns, the prodigal son...of a manufacturing facility
Feels good to have it back, as a bonus it seems my replacement console may be a part of a change that silently took place. Xbox 360's have been getting new quieter, and better disc drives. Wooot!
Anyways let me review a couple of games I have been itching too play.
Superman Returns (X360) - 6/10
Well this game can be added to the heap of cheesy, rushed movie games that come out all the time. The game follows little storyline....well it probably has a fine storyline thats peppered with the events of the movie, but the cut scenes are too lousy to hold my attention. Outside the cut scenes the game is pretty decent. Free roam is nice especially with super speed and flight, with random events to save the city popping up alot...not as often as preferred but alot. To improve your stats and the city's you can search for kitties...yes kitties. There are 100 strewn throughout the city, and believe they are hard to find.
Once you get past Superman's seizuring cape you will notice a fairly nice game. They team that made allowed full use of Superman's powers but with the limitation of energy/stamina. You need to be careful cause if you drain it then get hit you go down...but you easily recover by taping Y.
I gotta say I did not get this game expecting stelar anything, I only got it cause I can use Superman's powers with unlimitedness....and there's Bizzaro, though i haven't gotten far enough to play as him.
Though at this point I must leave for a Midterm. I believe you might understand.
I will be back to add another review after such time.
Until Next.

Illegal Alien at Ryerson...How about Some Reviews?
Well I am wasting time at the local Ryerson and figured I would do up a review or 2...though since my 360 is out of commision, I haven't played anything of note or long enough for PS2 and I don't own a PS3...both will be Wii reviews. Not that theres anything wrong with that....its just that i don't own a Wii, and it seems every time I play I want one just a little bit more.
WarioWare: Smooth Moves - Wii
9/10
If you've played any kind of WarioWare before be ready for more of the wonderful same. Random Mini-games a plenty and every single one has its own art style. I love the art and randomness to death, its a game that forces you to think and perceive. Also possibly the only place it falls short. Every WarioWare is in the habit of dumping you face first into the games with little to no instruction. Though as I said it forces you to think and do what should be considered the obvious action for the mini-game situations. But if your new or retarded you will fall flat on your face repeatedly. It's a steep learning curve and unfortunately alot of people have too tight an asshole to relax and figure things out. Otherwise WarioWare is a wonderful group and single player game with lots of entertainment and gameplay that lasts, if not for fun then for perfection of all the mini-games.
Metal Slug Anthology - Wii
8/10
Basically one of those get-what-you-paid-for-which-was-on-the-label kind of things. Metal Slug Anthology is the quintessential collection of the Metal Slug series having every iteration of the game from the beginning. Gameplay is simple with the nice ability to use almost anything to play the game, a GC controller, the wii-mote in different positions, one even said "Nunchuck only". I didn't try it 'cause I was afraid. :P
The graphics are slightly cleaned up and the levels have been increased in difficulty with tweaks to enemy counts and boss patterns. The reason for this is the fact that you have unlimited continues. ...believe me you'll need it, on average I died 30+ times per level.
My only issue was that it is quite simple, the graphics are fun but not stellar, loading screens...yes for some reason there are loading screens...break up gameplay at times, and some control aspects are annoying....like having to shake the wii-mote to throw a grenade.
Otherwise it's a good buy, but only if you like really simple gameplay or metal slug.
Ok, that's all folks.
Until Next.

Waiting on a Dream....well Actually just Future Shop
Holy Crap....did you feel that!? The whole stopped time thing that just happened...I think it's been like a year or something....wow.....yeah... I'll stop.
So how about that nothing since forever with the blogging. Well if you missed my stuff I'm sorry, I didn't have the time or interest, more so the latter.
How about I welcome you back to my life with some current events recap and the such.
Since October my 360 has been in and out of the shop...the Future Shop. My box started to scream and slow down as well as freeze so I took it in to the Shop. So here's my policy: If the product requires more then 3 repairs it will be replaced, Each time it is in for repair they have 60 days to repair it.
First Turn In:
Box Status - Slow, glitching, Chronic Freezing, screaming fans (...and not the good kind), and random loose piece rattling inside, otherwise in good condition
58 days later, Received Status: Still loud fans, Scuffed Case, Original box is "fucked up", Freezing reappears in a week, and so does the rattle (yeah I don't know how a rattle reappears).
After realizing they fixed nothing, I attempted a swap with another 360, turns out it has the 3 red lights of death. That is the state I turned the box over to Future Shop. They know it could not be fixed without being refurbished by Microsoft. They still send it in for repair, I was unable to convince them to give me a new one.
Second Turn In: 3 weeks after received
Still waiting on return....they have less then a month...
So thats that drama....I want my fucking box back....
I have purchased Lost Planet, Superman Returns, Arcade unplugged, and Table Tennis since my box has been gone....and I was in the middle of Viva Pinata when it started to die again.
Never buy anything expensive at Future Shop. Get it at Wal-mart of Costco....you say there is something wrong, they toss it and give you a new one.
Anyways...ya so when I can play games I will give you sufficient reviews....I might think up some for the Wii games I have played on my friends system...Wario is awesome.
Until Next.
